Ben Hamer gets a vote of confidence from manager

Leicester City’s backup keeper Ben Hamer has received a vote of confidence from his Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson.

With first choice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel out for an as yet unknown duration following his training ground injury which resulted in a broken metatarsal, Hamer is set to get a prolonged chance in the first team squad.

Ben has produced a number of composed performances whilst deputising for Schmeichel and has received praise from Nigel Pearson.

“He’s come into a side where he had an unexpected opportunity and seems capable of taking his chance. He’s quite a laid-back character. He’s unfazed by it and has done well. He played his part at Hull.” Said Pearson
