Adrian signs new two year contract with West Ham

West Ham have today announced that their first choice goalkeeper Adrian has signed a new two year contract with the club which will keep him in east London until 2017 with the option for the Hammers to extend the Spanish keepers stay by another 2 years.

‘This is a proud moment for myself, my family and friends and I am really happy to have signed my second contract with the club,’ Adrian said.

‘For me this is a really good moment and I just want to enjoy it. This is my third season here and I want to stay here for a long time.’ he added.

The 28 year old stopper has become a fan favourite since signing in June 2013 from Spanish side Real BetisĀ and is currently West Ham’s undisputed first choice goalkeeper.

‘I feel really happy for the club and the fans. I never imagined this kind of relationship with the fans. I spent 16 years at Real Betis and it was difficult to leave your home. But from the moment I arrived in London the West Ham fans had a special relationship with me.’

West Ham and Adrian have had a great start to the new Barclays Premier League season and currently sit 3rd and just 3 points off top of the league Manchester United and the HO Soccer wearer will hope he can keep a clean sheet in their next game against bottom of the table Sunderland.
