As I’m sure you are all aware, we are not the only website in the world that looks at Goalkeeping! (For those of you are not aware of this please read no further and disregard previous statement…)
So in an attempt to further provide you with as much goalkeeping knowledge and information as possible we have decided to put together a regular roundup of posts, articles and topics which we hope that you as a goalkeeper will be interested in from other sites across the internet.
The Goalkeepers’ Union has recently released a post all about Rene Adler and his come back in form since missing out on the 2010 World Cup. For those of you who don’t know, Rene Adler was Germany’s next big thing in the goalkeeping department and was all set to be the German number 1 at the 2010 World Cup before injury cleared the way for Manuel Neuer to step up and make a name for himself.
Since then Adler has struggled with injuries and form to the point where he was released on a free transfer to Hamburg where he has begun to rediscover the form and technique which put him at the top of the German pecking order in the first place. A very inspiring read with a matching video!
Never one to pass up on a bargain, we noticed that CompleteKeeper.co.uk have teamed up with TheOneGlove who have just released their new Pure Goalkeeper Glove to offer 10% off of all gloves for CompleteKeeper readers, the discount code can be found on their website! Whilst your there take a look around both sites, CompleteKeeper offers some great training tips and TheOneGlove offer some great quality gloves worn by professional keepers at a fraction of the price of some of the bigger names.
It is actually quite rare when something really unique comes along in the Goalkeeper Glove world but over the last few months Alert Goalkeeping have slowly been picking up pace with their AlertID idea (There’s a mouthful!).
Alert are one of a number of brands offering fantastic quality gloves at affordable prices which are being used by Professional Keepers throughout the leagues. However, what they are offering now is the opportunity to truely personalise your gloves to the exact specification you want including the latex you want to use, the cut you want of the glove and finally and most impressively how the glove looks! The only drawback is there is a minimum order quantity of 5 pairs, but for your own personalised glove at a great price – why would you ever want to switch again anyway?
