Fiorentina Goalkeeper Norberto Neto Will Leave
Italian club Fiorentina have today confirmed that their goalkeeper Norberto Neto has turned down a new contract with the club.
With his contract due to expire at the end of the season Neto has decided that his future career lies elsewhere with Juventus and Liverpool already being heavily linked with the shot stopper.
Neto was keen to make it known that his decision is entirely unrelated to financial motivations, with his desire to be free to decide his own future the sole reason behind his move.
Having announced that he is leaving the club at the end of the season, Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella is currently considering whether or not to drop him for the remainder of the season and turn to back up goalkeeper Tatarusanu who he believes is capable of being the Viola number 1.
Should Montella choose to drop Neto for the remainder of the season it could open the door up for a January transfer to another club which will attract a lot of interest from a number of European clubs.
