AC Milan’s 16 year old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is already worth an incredible £120 million according to his agent Mino Raiola.
Having displaced former Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez this season at AC Milan, Donnarumma has quickly gone on to make huge headlines across the world after putting in a number of solid performances.
Having only conceded 3 goals in 5 games – including two clean sheets against Chievo and Atalanta the 16 year old has seen a rapid rise in fame and is apparently already attracting interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs.
After his client was linked with some of Europe’s biggest names Raiola was quick to fuel the transfer rumours by claiming any move for Donnarumma would have to be a new world record fee.
“I’d compare him to a Modigliani (piece by Italian artist Amadeo)” Raiola told Italian broadcaster Mediaset Premium. “He’s worth 170 million euros” (£12o Million).
“He has a great future. He’s an extraordinary kid and everyone loves him.”
“He’s already a little champion but he can become a great one.” he added.
This comes just a few weeks after Raiola claimed that Donnarumma could be the next Buffon having played only two first team games for the Rossoneri so his valuation should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
At a time when most would suggest that it is important that the young keeper remains level headed and maintains his focus on taking one game at a time and continuing to develop some would question his agent’s outbursts.
Either way it sounds like the young keeper is in for a much improved contract next season – whether he is still at AC Milan or not!
