Victor Valdes is believed to have signed for Manchester United on a 18 month deal.
The 32 year old former Barcelona goalkeeper has been undergoing his rehabilitation at Old Trafford from a cruciate ligament injury since October and United have now moved to secure the highly rated goalkeeper on a free transfer that will tie him to the club until June 2016.
Louis Van Gal who previously worked with Valdes at Barcelona believes he will provide quality cover and competition for number 1 David De Gea.
