Having been dropped by Liverpool manager Brendan Rogers following a few poor displays between the sticks Mignolet was given a rapid return to the first team following replacement Brad Jones’ injury.

Although he returned sooner than expected, Mignolet is confident he can return to his previous form straight away and will look to take his opportunity back in the team to try and convince boss Brendan Rogers not to look for a replacement / challenger in the January transfer market.

‘I just take every game as it comes,’ Mignolet said. ‘I work hard and keep my head down like I’ve always done – nothing changes.

‘Sometimes things get tough but you still have to step up and I am a positive guy and will try to go again.’
