With Leicester City’s first choice keeper Schmeichel set for a lengthy period of the sidelines Nigel Pearson has agreed a deal to sign Chelsea’s third choice goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
The 42 year old shot stopper will leave the blues on a free transfer until the end of the season after not playing at all for Chelsea this season.
Schwarzer has fallen down the pecking order with the recent return of Courtois who has taken up the number 1 spot with any opportunities being taken up by Chelsea legend Petr Cech who now looks set to remain at the club at least until the end of the season.
