  • Managers Player of the Year 2007/08

Ambition:
To gain a place in the next tier of Women’s football with my team ‘Liverpool Feds’ and to continue to improve my skills in all aspects of goalkeeping.

What are your biggest Strengths as a Goalkeeper:
My biggest strength is my close range shot stopping, I have excellent reactions and sometimes don’t even remember how I made the save! I also have great communication skills and like to talk to the players a lot during the game so they know when runs are coming from deep and who to pick up etc. Another strength of mine is that due to starting out playing at left back / midfield I have a good understanding of how outfield players think which helps me read what they are going to do when bearing down on goal.

What is the best game you have ever played in and why:
Playing against Everton Ladies in the County Cup semi-final. They named three or four England internationals on their team sheet so it was a daunting prospect for me and the team to be facing the likes of Farah Williams and Jill Scott. The score was quite high in the end but it meant I got a lot of chances to make saves and knowing I kept Jill Scott from scoring a few times made me happy, especially as she went on to win the Women’s Player of the Year Award the next day, so I was proud to say I played against her.

If a Scout or Coach was reading this profile why should they contact you:
I believe I have a lot to offer as a Keeper, I’m hard working, brave (some may say stupid!) and very enthusiastic but I am also very loyal so I can only ever see myself playing for Liverpool Feds. I love my club; it’s where I first got the chance to change from an outfield player to a Goalkeeper.
